Recap of 2007
In 2007 SSC hosted 4
ESA points contests,
qualifying our district's
top surfers for the
Mid Atlantic Regionals
to be held in Myrtle
Beach this spring. Then
it's on to the Eastern
Surfing Championships
in Cape Hatteras, NC
in September.
The 4th Annual Governor's
Cup of Surfing, which
is also an ESA points
contest was held on
August 4 & 5.
This is SSC's premier
event of the year and
2008 will be our 20th
anniversary of this
event. (formerly the
SC State Surfing Championships).
The DJ McKevlin Gromfest
for surfers 18 years
and under.
The Folly Beach Wahine
Classic makes it's return
with full support from
SSC to be held on May
31 and June 1, 2008.
The Joe Hiller Longboard
Classic. Longboard event
with proceeds being
donated to Surfers Healing,
was held on October
26th at the Washout.
John Kalagian Memorial
Team Challenge, held
on October 27,2007 at
the Washout.
