2008 SSC-ESA Contests
SSC-ESA CONTEST REGISTRATION

If you cannot signup online, you may still pick up an entry at any local surf shop and mail it in to SSC PO Box 740, FB, SC 29439, or fill it out and leave it at the shop of your choice.

East Coast Scholastics- March 15 & 16 New Smyrna
Contest #2- April 12 & 13
Mid-Atlantic Regionals-April 25-27 Myrtle Beach
Contest #3- May 17 & 18
Folly Beach Wahine Classic- May 31- June 1 All women's charity event to benefit the Charleston Dragon Boat Team.
Contest #4- June 21 & 22 Points
Gromfest- July 12 & 13 - Under 18 event, just for fun. No points.
SC Governor's Cup Contest #5- August 9 & 10 Points. 20th Annual States, 5th Annual SC Governor's Cup.
**Surfers Healing** August 12
Easterns- September TBA- by invitation.
John Kalagian Team Challenge- October 11 Bragging rights and a big trophy.
Joe Hiller Longboard Classic- October 12 - Charity longboard event.

This contest schedule is always subject to change. 
All of the local SSC Contests are held at the Washout on Folly Beach & start at 8:00 am. You must check in with Beach Marshall Steve Fletcher at his station one half hour before the start of your heat.

First division is $20.00 and each additional division is $5.00. Please make checks payable to SSC-ESA.
You may pick up an entry from any local surf shop, fill it out & leave it there.
The contest deadline is surf shop closing time on the Sunday before the contest (one week before!)
We pick up the shop entries on the Monday morning before the contest weekend. You must bring it to us after that, we only make one trip! 
Beach entries accepted on a space available basis with late fees. "No cash No splash" sez Bill Jones.

Late fees: $5.00 for the first event- $1.00 for each additional event.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:
Competition membership $40 includes two divisions + $5 for each extra division
Family membership $50 + $5 for each division for each family member
Lifetime membership $1,000

2008 Competition Divisions (SSC local contest season usually runs from March thru November) How old will turn on your birthday in 2008? You should surf in the division of that age group.

**Your competition age group is determined by your age as of January 1 of the year following our season's end. For example, during the contests of the 2008 competition season, your competition age is determined by how old you will be on January 1, 2009.**
