2009 SSC-ESA Contests

SSC-ESA CONTEST SCHEDULE

Here are your options for registering for an SSC surf contest.

  Click on the green button that says Register Now and pick your contest.
  
• Download an entry from here. SSC-ESA CONTEST ENTRY
  Print it out and mail it to SSC-ESA PO Box 740, Folly Beach, SC 29439
  OR
  Bring to any of the following surf shops-
  Ocean Surf Shop, McKevlins Surf Shop, Quiksilver, Parrot Surf Shop or Charleston Watersport Outfitters.

The contest schedule is always subject to change.  We are going back to running age divisions on Saturday and Open Heats on Sunday if possible.

All of the local SSC Contests are held at the Washout on Folly Beach & start at 8:00 am. You must check in with the Beach Marshall at his station one half hour before the start of your heat.

We do not serve bottled water anymore, due to added waste & in support of Surfrider's anti-plastic campaign.

We will have coolers of water and cups or you may bring your own water bottle. Thanks!

First division is $20.00 and each additional division is $5.00. Please make checks payable to SSC-ESA.

The contest deadline is surf shop closing time on the Sunday before the contest (one week before!)
We pick up the shop entries on the Tuesday afternoon before the contest weekend. You must bring it to us after that, we only make one trip! 

Beach entries accepted on a space available basis with late fees. "No cash No splash" sez Bill Jones.

Late fees: $5.00 for the first event- $1.00 for each additional event.

2009 Competition Divisions (SSC local contest season usually runs from March thru November) How old will turn on your birthday in 2009? You should surf in the division of that age group.

**Your competition age group is determined by your age as of January 1 of the year following our season's end. For example, during the contests of the 2009 competition season, your competition age is determined by how old you will be on January 1, 2009.**
